Banannielion81, Horrible! Don’t even use this!I am only giving this app one star because I have to, if I could give it zero I would!
I have been unable to access the information I need for over a year, since I switched devices. I cannot figure out how to unpair my old device and pair up my new one. It is incredibly frustrating because the FAQ’s are of no help, and when you email customer support, they tell you to read the FAQ’s for information. I really wish I never installed this on my device! What an absolute waste of time!
The Thomson Reuters Authenticator mobile app is used confirm your account via multi-factor authentication (MFA). When you enable MFA for your account, you will need to download the app to your mobile device and approve the requested permissions.
Developer Response, Thank you for taking time to provide feedback. As stated in other responses, emergency access codes were recently introduced to help prevent this scenario.
However, if you did not know this ahead of time, you would certainly be stuck. To access your information, a 24-hour access code can be provided by a firm admin, or product support. Use this backup code to access your account and then add your new phone. To ensure continued access, we recommend everyone generate emergency access codes by going to multi-factor authentication settings in your user profile in your product. Choose Generate Codes in the Emergency Access Codes section and save them in a safe place.
When your device is lost or replaced in the future, use these codes to regain access to your account and setup a new device. UsersNamesAreAllTaken, Must be quickThis app is necessary in order to login to information provided by my employer. If I login to a desktop, I must have my phone on me in order to access this Authenticator app as it’s “two part” verification before logging me in. If I’m logging in on my phone, I have to quickly swap apps around to login, then authenticate, then verify my authentication back on the login.
If you’re not used to an Authenticator, this will definitely take some getting used to. Developer Response, Thank you for you feedback. Make sure your device is online when scanning the QR Code for the first time. Once the device has successfully paired, you can generate a six-digit code to enter in the desktop app if the login approval prompt doesn’t appear on your device. EdHans, It is ok. Only use if required.I wouldn’t use this as my standard Authenticator app.
But I have one vendor that requires this. It used to allow approval on Apple Watch but that broke last month with the new iOS and watchOS updates. Now have to use the phone app, and it really isn’t intuitive at all like other Authenticator apps.Developer response doesn’t work. I get notifications on the watch but the “Accept” button no longer shows up as it did with the version on iOS 11 and watchOS 4.
I do not have pin set up for the app in settings/gear icon. Developer Response, Thank you for following up! We hope one of the solutions here will help. 1) On your phone, go to Settings - Notifications - Authenticator - Verify that Show Preview is set to Always. 2) On your phone, go to Watch app - Notifications - Turn off Notification Privacy. 3) Finally, some versions of Apple watch had layouts modified when updated to watchOS 4.
Check to see if you can scroll your notification on your watch to make the buttons visible. It is our hope that one of these solutions will work for you. Thank you for the continued feedback.Original Response: Thank you very much for the feedback. Approval from your watch is always the quickest and easiest ways. Due to device security features, watch notifications will not function if the 'Secure with Passcode' feature is enabled from the Settings (gear icon in upper left) menu of Authenticator.
When your phone has a passcode / pin set for the device lock screen, this setting becomes unnecessary. If this setting is already disabled and you are still not getting notifications on your watch, reboot both your watch and phone.
Note: We’ll decline all APKs with ‘debug’ certificate, which are not safe.Trusted BadgeOfficial records from APKPure and Google Play confirm that the developer used a trusted and verified digital signature. The downloadable file is original and it has not been modified in any way.Why using SHA1 to check the identification of certificate is safe? That’s a cryptography problem. Please refer to the following authoritative information to check the reason. How do we make sure the updated Apps are real and created by the respective developers?1.
All appforpc1.com apps are verified prior to publishing.2. We make sure that the cryptographic signatures for new versions of all previously published apps match the original ones, which means we know if the new version APKs were signed by the real devs or someone pretending to be them.3. For new apps that have never been published on appforpc1.com, we try to match the signatures to other existing apps by the same developer.
If there’s a match, it means that the same key was used to sign a previously known legitimate app, therefore validating the new upload. If we’re unable to verify the legitimacy of a new APK, we will simply not publish it on appforpc1.com. To see the full description of Thomson Reuters Authenticator, please.
